Caffeine on the Slow-Drip Method
According this a report covered in this Reuters news story http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=571&ncid=751&e=1&u=/nm/20040511/hl_nm/health_caffeine_dc, "Most of the population is using caffeine the wrong way by drinking a few mugs of coffee or tea in the morning, or three cups from their Starbucks grande on the way to work.
Actually, "small, frequent doses of caffeine are best for truck drivers, doctors and others who need to stay awake over a long period of time."

Test for Draft
This is a draft. Written on Thursday night, January 22. What happens when I go in on Friday, January 23, and un-release the draft? Will it be dated on the 22nd, or 23rd?
Did you ever unrelease it? It's still listed as a draft. I just unreleased it on May 11th at 2:27PM.

Archives are nonfunctional again.
After I did an email to blog posting.
Guess that's why it is sending me the emails saying it failed. The POSTING didn't fail, only the generation of the archives.

test
This is a test posting .. this is done automatically using blogger's
new "mail to blog" feature.
Will it work?
Yes it worked, but it didn't allow comments. I have edited it in blog and am publishing it here. Let's see if comments are now enabled.
Still no comments allowed. So you can post by email and not have comments.
Wonder if there is a setting somewhere. Ahhhh .. "More Post Options" below.
Has a setting "No & Hide Existing Comments" I'll change that to "Yes".
Wonder if there is a way to set that automatically on email blogs.

This is the longest title in the world with a double-space in it. what does it do? How long can I make the title after all? What will it name it 2?
This has the same name as the other post, with a " 2" before the question mark at the end.
What will it do with this?

Checking the title length and how it looks .. and what the permalink looks like since it now uses the title to generate the permalink.
To get some text here I'm posting the Book of Concord reading for the 6th Sunday after Easter. Check it out at http://boc.pericope.org
Will it URLize that link, or do I need to make it real?
This is URLized
The following reading from the Kolb edition of the Book of Concord is for the series "C" Gospel, John 14:23-29, for The Sixth Sunday of Easter, May 16 2004.
It is from The Large Catechism, The Creed, paragraphs 64-67, pp. 439-440.
In order to bring to fruition the work of Christ, the Holy Spirit must teach and remind the Apostles so that by their teaching the Holy Spirit might enlighten those who believe on Christ through their words.

A READING FROM THE BOOK OF CONCORD
SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER
THE LARGE CATECHISM, THE CREED
64] But here we have everything in richest measure; for here in all three articles He has Himself revealed and opened the deepest abyss of his paternal heart and of His pure unutterable love. For He has created us for this very object, that He might redeem and sanctify us; and in addition to giving and imparting to us everything in heaven and upon earth, He has given to us even His Son and the Holy Ghost, by whom to bring us to Himself. 65] For (as explained above) we could never attain to the knowledge of the grace and favor of the Father except through the Lord Christ, who is a mirror of the paternal heart, outside of whom we see nothing but an angry and terrible Judge. But of Christ we could know nothing either, unless it had been revealed by the Holy Ghost.
66] These articles of the Creed, therefore, divide and separate us Christians from all other people upon earth. For all outside of Christianity, whether heathen, Turks, Jews, or false Christians and hypocrites, although they believe in, and worship, only one true God, yet know not what His mind towards them is, and cannot expect any love or blessing from Him; therefore they abide in eternal wrath and damnation. For they have not the Lord Christ, and, besides, are not illumined and favored by any gifts of the Holy Ghost.
67] From this you perceive that the Creed is a doctrine quite different from the Ten Commandments; for the latter teaches indeed what we ought to do, but the former tells what God does for us and gives to us. Moreover, apart from this, the Ten Commandments are written in the hearts of all men; the Creed, however, no human wisdom can comprehend, but it must be taught by the Holy Ghost alone.
From 2001:
The following reading from the Kolb edition of the BOC is for the series "C" First Reading, Acts 13:44-52.
It is from the Formula of Concord, Solid Declaration, Article XI, Election, paragraphs 6-8, page 642.
The doctrine of eternal election is meant to answer the believer's question, Why am I so blessed to be saved? The answer is, I have done nothing to make me worthy of all this, but it is solely God's work, his eternal plan, calling and preservation.
A READING FROM THE BOOK OF CONCORD
FIFTH SUNDAY OF EASTER
FORMULA OF CONCORD, SOLID DECLARATION
ARTICLE XI, ELECTION
The foreknowledge of God sees and knows even the evil before it happens, but not in such a way as if it were God's gracious will that it take place. Instead, before it happens, God sees and knows what the perverted, evil will of the devil and of human beings intends to and actually will undertake and do...
God's foreknowledge is not, however, the origin or cause of evil (for God does not create evil or produce it, and he does not aid or abet it). Instead, the evil perverted will of the devil and human beings is its origin and cause, as it is written, "Israel, you bring yourself into misfortune, but your salvation is found in me alone" [Hosea 13:9]. Likewise, "You are not a God who delights in wickedness" [Ps.5:4].
God's eternal election not only foresees and foreknows the salvation of the elect but is also a cause of our salvation and whatever pertains to it, on the basis of the gracious will and good pleasure of God in Christ Jesus. As this cause, it creates, effects, aids, and promotes our salvation. Our salvation is founded upon it, so that "the gates of hell" [Matt.16:18] may not have any power against this salvation, as it written "No one will snatch my sheep out of my hand" [John 10:28]. and again, "As many as had been destined for eternal life became believers" [Acts 13:48]. (paragraphs 6-8)

Blogger has a new format. Yuck. It's robbing me of some useful information. Plus, something about it is causing the policyguy server to choke.
I wonder how quickly this will post to blogspot.
